Skin Cancers
The skin is the largest organ in the human body, and skin cancer is the most common type of cancer. Our skin cancer care is about both prevention and treatment. We offer skin cancer screening services as well as a variety of treatment options. Treatments include surgery, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy, depending on the type of cancer. It is very important to detect skin cancers very early. Visual monitoring of the skin by individuals and regularly scheduling skin examinations with our dermatologists are very important in early detection and treatment of skin cancer.
Basal Cell Carcinoma
Basal cell carcinoma is the most common skin cancer. It can appear as a pearly pink bump, a sore or scab that won’t heal, or a scaly red patch.
Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Squamous cell carcinoma is the second most common type of skin cancer. These cancers are usually scaly or crusty, tender to touch, and can grow very quickly.
Melanoma
Melanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer. While most melanomas are dark brown or black irregular spots or bumps, they can also develop as a red or pink growth. Some melanomas develop from preexisting moles, while others appear out of nowhere.
